SEN Teaching Assistant - Kingsbury

If so, we are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a fantastic SEN School, located in the Kingsbury area. This will be a full time role, from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will need to be confident supporting the child with their learning, development and personal growth.

You must have worked with children in some professional capacity & be able to provide us with a reference relating to the role.

The Role:

• Support children in the deaf unit of the school
• As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will contribute to creating a safe, supportive & engaging learning environment
• Build a close bond with the child to ensure they feel comfortable both inside & outside the classroom
• Communicate closely with colleagues to ensure progress of students is prioritised as an SEN Teaching Assistant
• Work with the deaf children as a shared TA on a 1:2/ 1:3 basis in the EYFS

Requirements:

• Will need to be a good nonverbal communicator (use of BSL / Makaton / Gesture) and good oral communicator to model language for the pupils
• Willing to support SEN children as an SEN Teaching Assistant
• Have experience with children in some professional capacity you can provide a reference for
• Must be comfortable supporting children with challenging behaviour
• Live local to Kingsbury or within a commutable distance
