Competitive Salary, commensurate with experience

We are working with a well-established national law firm who are looking to attract an experienced Family/Matrimonial Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary to support their busy private family law team in Walsall.

 The role will involve:

Copy typing of correspondence and legal documents
Audio typing
Supporting a busy Family/Matrimonial team with administrative/secretarial duties
Making legal aid applications when appropriate
Making D11 applications 
Use of HMCTS for divorce applications
Liaising with clients and third party professionals
Responding to emailsSuitable candidates will have: 

A minimum of 12 months' matrimonial/family law experience including divorce, cohabitation, domestic abuse, occupation orders and child arrangement orders
An understanding of legal aid applications and billing procedures
Experience of using HMCTS for divorce applications
Experience of using a legal case management system
The ability to work well as part of a team This is a full-time permanent job which is fully office-based.  Hours of work are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
