Are you an experienced Fleet Manager looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic logistics environment? We are seeking a talented individual to join our client's team and support the Logistics & Operations departments.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for vehicle operation in accordance with the company's Operators Licence.
Act as the O Licence holder for secondary transport, ensuring full compliance with all statutory requirements, including vehicle maintenance and driver records.
Develop effective distribution fleet procedures and standards in line with group guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Manage the day-to-day fleet maintenance programme in accordance with the company's O Licence.
Ensure that Fleet Maintenance data is accurate and reflects the status of the vehicles.
Manage repair and maintenance contractors to ensure legal compliance and regularly audit their performance.
Develop and manage a KPI process to proactively manage fleet performance.
Conduct regular fleet audits on contractor vehicles to ensure compliance with group guidelines.
Build relationships with recovery agencies and emergency response teams to act in the best interests of the company.
Oversee the repair and maintenance programme, including logging work done and processing timely invoicing.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:

In-depth knowledge of issues involved in managing a transport fleet, both in-house and contracted.
Technical knowledge of processes and systems associated with LPG distribution.
Certificate of Professional Competence in road transport.
Membership of a relevant transport professional body (optional but should be working towards).
Holder of Class 2 minimum LGV licence required; ADR qualification preferred.
