Senior HV Plant Engineer (6 month contract)

40 hrs per week (5 days on site)

£35-55 ph DOE (inside IR35)

Role:
The HV Plant Design Engineer will join the Power Networks team and will be instrumental in creating detailed design solutions for high voltage electrical plants. This includes preparing, reviewing, and modifying engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. The role demands a meticulous approach to ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The engineer will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects that meet client expectations for quality, budget, and timelines as well as play an integral part of the senior leadership team.

Skills & Experience:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in HV plant design, with a portfolio of successful projects

- High quality delivery of FEED and detailed design deliverables

- Track record in the delivery of Front-End Engineering and design or detailed design of EHV (132kV upwards) substation projects
- Proficiency with electrical design software and tools
- A deep understanding of high voltage systems and their operation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- A commitment to ongoing professional development

- Desirable Chartered Engineer through the IET

- BP141 or equivalent authorised or ability to do so is also desirable
