Press Brake Operative/Supervisor

Job Overview:
This job is due to the company establishing a night shift in their facility. This role will start on a mixed shift basis with a view to moving onto permanent nights later in the year once the full night shift team are in place. The shift details are below:
To start with, the shift will be Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.00pm so 40 hours @ £13.25 per hour
There will be one week in the month on nights so Monday to Thursday 4.00pm to 2.00am so 40 hours @ £15.50 per hour
There is a 25 minute lunch break and an early and later 10 minute break. 30 minutes of the break times will be unpaid.
Once the night shift team has all started, you will then move onto permanent nights as above.
Our client is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join their team. As press brake operator, you will be responsible for working with sheet metal to produce metal components on our Trumpf Trubend Machine. Be able to operate, set and programme the press brake machine.
Key Tasks:
* Hands on supervising a small team.
* First aid and Fire Marshall responsibilities.
* Operate, Set and programme Trumpf Trubend Pressbrake machines.
* Health and safety aware.
* General upkeep of the machine shop and premises to aid with the smooth running of the facility.
* Ad hoc duties as and when required.
* Complete job cards
* First Aider and Fire Marshall
Key Attributes:
* CNC Press Brake experience is essential.
* Forklift truck license would be beneficial.
* A willingness to learn new skills, be hard working and a great work ethic.
* Effective communication and positive relations with employees at all levels within the organisation and external contacts including customers and suppliers.
* Be competent at working alone or as part of a team.
* Must have previous experience working as a CNC Press Brake Operator or have previous Sheet Metal or Machine Operation experience.
* The ability to interpret Engineering drawings, be able to work out a bending sequence and write a programme, have the ability to select the correct tooling and be able to Set and Operate the CNC Press Brake Machines.

Salary: up to £32,240 p/a including shift allowance when on night shift
