Trainee to Senior Ground Investigation Contracts Manager

Join our clients dynamic team, a leading player in the geotechnical and geo-environmental contracting industry. With a diverse portfolio, their projects span across residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. specifics include clean and foul water, utilities work, water treatment, nuclear projects, MOD contracts, rail infrastructure, Yorkshire Water ventures, solar panel installations, and renewable energy initiatives.

Both positions are office-based roles with the option for home working, occasional site visits are also required

Responsibilities:

As a Contracts Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Day-to-day management and performance monitoring of staff assigned to your projects.

Site walkovers and attendance at pre-start meetings.

Preparation and delivery of construction phase plans, incorporating RAMS.

Preparation and delivery of environmental management plans.

Identification, allocation, and scheduling of site personnel and equipment resources.

Preparation and execution of site establishment and logistics plans.

Compilation of equipment and consumable lists and arrangement of purchases/orders.

Compilation and delivery of start-up information packs for assigned Site Supervisors, including formal handover.

Regular technical and HSEQ auditing of staff assigned to your projects.

Developing commercial awareness of contract variations and changes.

Log checking, verification, and reconciliation against laboratory test results.

Compilation, delivery, and management of testing schedules to/from designers.

Technical (factual) report writing and reviewing.

Project tracking against key milestone dates set at the start of the project.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years GI site experience starting at the trainee role.

Ground investigation experience in logging, drill rigs, and site-based activities is ideal.

BSc (MSc preferable) in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Environmental Sciences.

Full driving license.

CSCS Management Qualification.

SSSTS Qualification.

Salary and Benefits:

Negotiable salary dependant on skills and qualifications

Company van provided for site visits along with Accommodation.

Bonuses based on performance.

24 days holiday (up to 29 days with service).
