The Client

With over 30 years of establishment, this client is a market leader investing over £30 million in the future of the business. Their unique database, built through rigorous data validation, has positioned them as a leading provider of data and marketing solutions.

They are looking for a remote based Business Development Manager to join their team enjoying a fantastic commission plan, along with a car allowance, petrol card, and company benefits.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify new prospects with a requirement for business data solutions.
  • Utilise LinkedIn and outbound calling to pinpoint decision-makers responsible for data-related products and services.
  • Generate appointments with relevant decision-makers through outbound calling and alternative communication methods.
  • Present the company’s solutions to potential clients.
  • Write proposals aligned with discussed solutions.
  • Proactively follow up and close sales.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to analyse current and future needs, ensuring products and services meet or exceed client goals and expectations.
  • Develop and implement account plans to ensure customer retention and revenue growth.
  • Document, track, and manage sales forecasts and pipeline information, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure the CRM system is regularly updated and used for effective account portfolio management.
  • Complete administration duties, including submitting paperwork for invoicing and account plans.
  • Communicate with Account Support to ensure accurate briefing and delivery of jobs.

Success Measurement:

  • Achieve a minimum of 20 meetings (new business and customer meetings) per month.
  • Meet revenue targets.
  • Maintain high customer retention/growth rates.
  • Add a specified number of new sales opportunities to the pipeline each month.
  • Successfully convert calls into appointments and appointments into new sales.
  • Manage growth revenue and minimize lost revenue.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of CRM system.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record in end-to-end B2B sales, including self-generated appointments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Strong customer relationship building and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Valid driving license for travel throughout the UK.

Expectations:

  • Generate 5 new business meetings per week.
  • Achieve an average order value of £15,000.
  • Target companies with more than 20 employees and a turnover exceeding £5 million.
  • Utilize outbound calling and other communication methodologies aggressively.
