Challenging Behaviour Mentor - SEND School (Exeter)

About the Role

As a Challenging Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to support students experiencing emotional, behavioural difficulties, or trauma. This full-time role (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) provides an opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young people, helping them develop vital coping skills and emotional resilience.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver one-to-one support sessions tailored to students' individual needs.

* Help students build emotional regulation techniques and resilience.

* Provide support for students' social, emotional, and mental health needs.

* Collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

* Has experience working with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs in an educational or support setting.

* Possesses excellent empathy, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.

* Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills.
