Reed Education is seeking a dynamic MFL Teacher to join a secondary school in the Preston area. The role requires a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment. This is an immediate start position for the right candidate who is ready to inspire students with a passion for languages.
Day-to-day of the role: - Delivering high-quality language lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being advantageous.
- Creating a stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning and student engagement.
- Preparing lesson plans, materials, and activities that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Assessing and recording student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s language department.
- Participating in school events and activities related to the language curriculum.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent relevant experience teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience being an advantage.
- Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Reliable, committed, and able to act as a good role model for students.
- Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
