Assembly Technician

Our business incorporates cutting-edge technology and machinery from Switzerland, which we integrate with our own designed conveyors, enclosures, air handling, electrical control systems, and ancillary equipment.
 
About the job:
 
We are looking for an Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the machining, manufacturing, and assembly of enclosures and equipment on our factory floor. The role offers a dynamic and hands-on work environment, with tasks ranging from machining and fitting to assembly and fault-finding. Attention to detail and precision are key, as you will be working with specialist materials.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of base materials, machining, and lock assembly.
Assembling frameworks and fitting them to machinery lines.
Dis-assembly of tested lines and preparation of items for transport and assembly at customers' sites.
A small amount of pneumatic assembly.
Assembly, commissioning, support, and service work at customers' sites. 
Location:                                             Basildon, Essex
Salary:                                                  £30-35k (depending on experience)
 
Requirements:

Good basic engineering skills.
Ability to interpret equipment assembly drawings and maintain a high-quality finish.
Proven teamwork, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Practical engineering experience, particularly in mechanical assembly and machining.
Ability to operate within the health and safety guidelines.
Recognised engineering certification or apprenticeship. 
Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with pneumatic systems.
Experience in a similar assembly or mechanical role.
Willingness to travel for installation support to our worldwide customer base.
