Job Title: CNC Grinder (with Manual Grinding Experience)

Salary: £38,920 per annum + 22% shift premium for late shifts

Shift Pattern: 3 Shift Rotation

Early Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Late Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (22% shift premium)

Night Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Job Overview for the CNC Grinder
The CNC Grinder will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC grinding machines while also using manual grinding techniques when required. This role involves working across a 3-shift pattern and ensuring that all machined components meet the highest quality and precision standards.

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Grinder

Set up, operate, and program CNC grinding machines to produce precision components according to engineering specifications and drawings.

Perform manual grinding operations when required, ensuring the same level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as necessary, and ensure proper machine maintenance is performed.

Inspect components using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify adherence to specifications.

Qualifications and Experience of the CNC Grinder

Proven experience (3+ years) working as a CNC Grinder, with a solid understanding of CNC programming and operation.

Experience with manual grinding techniques and equipment is essential.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure accuracy and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification or vocational training in CNC machining or grinding.

Experience in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering.
