We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Technician to work for a top performing surface technology company in Swindon.

About the Role

· In this role you will metallurgically examine coatings on customer components to ascertain cause of failure or to confirm/check that new coating techniques meet the requirements expected.

· Further you will be preparing laboratory reports outlining details of the examination and any conclusions reached.

· Ensuring that all inspection documentation is complete and that all details, have been accurately recorded on outgoing certification is required in this role.

· Issuing the final certification of conformance prior to the dispatch of components.

· You will raise non-conformance reports when required.

· You will be preparing and evaluate various hardness samples, microstructure, bond testing.

About You

· Previous experience in a laboratory within manufacturing, coating or aerospace industries and educated to A level or equivalent (preferable science).

· Further you must be analytical, and detail orientated.

· You have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

· Additionally, you possess the demonstrable ability to deliver your responsibilities in line with safety, quality and productivity targets.
