We are actively recruiting for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join a growing organisation within the Media industry based in Watford. This role will focus on providing in-depth financial support and ensuring the smooth running of the finance department.

Our client is a large organisation, well-established in the media industry. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join their organisation based in Watford on a full time, permanent basis.

Description

• Overseeing daily transactions (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations)
• Collaborating with the financial department and senior management to prepare budgets and financial reports
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Implementing and maintaining financial policies and regulations
• Preparing financial statements and analysis
• Input Purchase Orders via a system
• Investigate any discrepancies
• Assist in audit paperwork
• Assist with payroll processing

Profile

A successful 'Assistant Accountant' should have:

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Live locally to Watford
