Salary: £77 - £95/day

Zest Education are currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a 'Good' rated secondary school in the Coventry area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The school pride themselves on their supportive and inclusive environment, so are looking for an individual who will be able to uphold these standards. This role is due to commence as soon as possible and will run for a minimum of one term.

Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND, helping them to achieve their academic goals
- Assist the teacher with planning and delivering lessons, adapting materials and resources to meet the individual needs of students
- Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents as required
- Support students in developing social and emotional skills
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the needs of SEND students are met effectively

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with SEND students is essential
- Knowledge of different learning needs and strategies to support students in overcoming challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and methodologies
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with special educational needs
- Relevant qualifications or training in the field of education or special educational needs

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
