Role- Development Inspector
Location- Edinburgh
Salary- £30,000- £35,000 DOE
Requirements- Drivers licence
The Development Inspector will have a portfolio of developments which they work on alongside the rest of their Cross Functional Team. This team seeks to provide an excellent level of service to the developments they manage, ensuring that developments are carefully maintained, and any repairs/projects are managed well and carried out promptly. This includes reactive repairs, planned maintenance, landscape maintenance and any larger projects.
This role more specifically involves carrying out routine inspections on more complex developments or those with larger projects ongoing. The Development Inspector will-
- Provide technical expertise on maintenance work required
- Write scopes for works required
- Write tender reports to be issued to clients for decision making purposes
- Project manage larger works eg paint works, roof replacements, lighting upgrades
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure that they are equipped and informed when discussing development matters with the businesses clients
Your main duties will be to-
- Carry out routine inspections on the more complex developments in the portfolio
- Record and upload inspection report within required timeframe
- Arrange for any smaller remedial work to be undertaken in accordance with firms processes
- Create a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) document for the more complex developments
- Build positive working relationships with our approved contractors.
- Provide feedback to the contractor on their performance with routine work and larger remedial works.
- Identify new contractors who could be added to approved contractors list.
- Liaise with Contract Facilities Manager on service items such as lifts, pumps, emergency lighting and include such records as part of routine inspections.
- Identifying opportunities for future project works during routine inspections giving details of scope and costs.
