Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site-Based Project Manager to oversee a commercial refurbishment project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the roofing and cladding scope of the project, from inception to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilitiies

* Project Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or delays, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.

Coordinate with the main contractor, client representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

* Site Management:

Oversee site operations, including safety inspections, quality control, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Manage site logistics, including material delivery, equipment mobilization, and waste disposal.

Resolve site-related issues promptly and efficiently, minimizing disruptions to the project timeline.

Subcontractor Management:

Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring they meet project deadlines, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

Monitor subcontractor progress and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise.

* Financial Management:

Track project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure budget adherence.

Prepare regular progress reports and financial forecasts for the project.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project profitability.

* Quality Assurance:

Implement quality control procedures to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards.

Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and rectify any defects or non-conformities.

Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.

* Technical Expertise:

Possess a strong understanding of roofing and cladding systems, materials, and installation techniques.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure innovative solutions are implemented.

Required Skills and Experience

Proven experience as a Site-Based Project Manager in the roofing and cladding industry, with a focus on commercial projects.

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and other relevant IT tools.

A valid CSCS card and relevant safety qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, SSSTS).

A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
