Job Purpose: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher to join our Humanities department on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality History lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students in achieving their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and effective History lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to the diverse needs of students.
Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work in accordance with school policies.
Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations, including providing extra help and guidance where necessary.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to parents/carers and senior staff as required.
Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, contributing to the development of the History curriculum and wider school initiatives.
Uphold the school's policies on behavior, safeguarding, and equality, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
Take part in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities to enhance the educational experience of students.Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in History or a related subject.
Experience teaching History at secondary level, including GCSE and A-Level.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
