Our Client, a rapidly growing SME within the Mechanical Services industry recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Projects/Contracts Manager
The head office is based in West London and with contracts & projects across London and the surrounding Home Counties.
This role reports into the Director
As the Senior Porject Manager, you will be responible for the current Project Managers & Contracts Managers. You will also be required to oversee mulitple installation projects with values in excess of £200K. The majority of the contracts are retrofit & refurb projects within Local Authority and Central Government. Exposure & experience with these types of contracts is essential.
The candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactive management of Health & Safety
* Planning, managing, executing and controlling projects
* Sole responsibility for budget, programme, quality, supplier and subcontractor management
* Participate in bid/tender processes
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients
* Full man management responsibilities
Requirements
* Educated to HNC/HND/Degree level in Mechanical discipline.
* Demonstrate experience working as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or currently working as a Project Manager from within the building services industry is essential. Working within Local Authority Contracts would be an advantage.
* Relevant Health and Safety qualifications such as a SMSTS/ISOH/NEBOSH
* Experience of delivering projects as the Mechanical Contractor
* Excellent working knowledge of all MS office applications
* To have successful experience in dealing directly with Clients and the public
* To work on his/her own initiative
