We are looking for a Financial Controller to join a growing, exciting SME business based in South East London.

Our business is well-established, has a great reputation and a high-quality customer base.

We need an energetic, enthusiastic qualified Financial Controller to lead our finance department.

The appointee will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the company’s accounting function
• Managing cash flow, payroll, pensions and related matters
• Hands on roll with implementation of new ERP project
• Analyzing and reporting on financial performance
• Creating and enhancing systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
• Supervising and managing finance department staff
• Establishing and implementing financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
• Ensuring absolute compliance with any external reporting deadlines
• Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
• Collaborating with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
• Developing budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
• Reviewing all financial plans regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
• Reporting to the Directors with timely and accurate financial information on a monthly basis

The company is looking for a full-time fully qualified accountant (ACA or CIMA). The role would suit someone who has previously managed a team and has worked with entrepreneurial owners.

Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills are required and highly developed interpersonal skills are needed for communicating at all levels.
