Robert Half is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interim Finance Manager/Financial Accountant to join our client's team on a temporary basis. This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make a significant impact in a fully remote setting. You will play a key role in essential financial operations, including balance sheet reconciliations, group reporting, and fixed asset management. The initial contract is for 3 months, with the possibility of an extension to 6 months.

Role: Technical Finance Manager

Location: Bristol/Future Remote (**Must be prepared to be in the office 5 days a week for the first few weeks with ad hoc travel to Bristol thereafter**)Duration: 3 months (Potential extension to 6 months)Rate: £300-£400pd via Umbrella (no flex on Ltd and notOutside IR35)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate closely with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits.
  • Monthly & Group Reporting: Streamline existing monthly and group reporting processes by understanding and meeting reporting requirements.
  • Fixed Assets Management: Oversee the cleanup of fixed assets following a recent ERP migration, ensuring all records are accurate.
  • ERP System Expertise: Leverage your experience with Business Central on D365 to assist in ERP-related tasks.
  • Transactional Support: Provide assistance with various transactional functions as needed.
  • VAT Compliance: Assist with VAT submissions, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations.
  • IFRS16 Lease Management: Handle IFRS16 lease accounting and reporting requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant: Preferably with a background in finance management roles.
  • Expertise in Balance Sheet & Audit Processes: Proven experience in balance sheet reconciliations and working with external auditors.
  • ERP Knowledge: Strong experience with Business Central on D365 is highly desirable.
  • Fixed Assets Expertise: Extensive experience in managing and cleaning up fixed assets, particularly after an ERP migration.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently in a remote setting, effectively managing time and tasks without the need for micromanagement.
  • Proactive & Hands-On: Willingness to engage in various tasks, including transactional functions, as needed.
  • VAT & IFRS16 Experience: Previous experience with VAT submissions and IFRS16 lease accounting is a plus.
