About the Role:

Our client, a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team for an exciting £30 million new build project in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile project with one of the industry leaders known for their innovative approach and commitment to excellence.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of the construction project.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
Allocate work to subcontractors.
Provide advice on contractual claims.
Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional membership with RICS or similar is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
