My Tier 1 Main Contractor client is seeking an experienced Design Manager / Senior Design Manager to join their dynamic team in London. The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in overseeing a series of exciting education/school projects in London. With multiple opportunities available, we welcome applications from individuals with varying levels of experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the design management process from tender through to project completion.
Coordinate and manage design teams, ensuring timely delivery of design packages.
Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to the project team.
Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
Identify and mitigate design risks, providing solutions to design-related issues.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all project participants.
Prepare and present design reports, progress updates, and documentation.

Requirements:

Proven experience in design management within the construction industry.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects from tender to completion.
Strong understanding of design processes, construction methodologies, and project management principles.
Education sector experience is highly desired; however, candidates with all-rounder experience will also be considered.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
