Overview

As a Pension Administrator at Buck, you will coordinate corporate pension schemes with precision and dedication. This role aims to ensure all pension-related tasks are completed to the highest standards and within set deadlines.


How you'll make an impact

  • Carry out pension administration tasks and calculations accurately, adhering strictly to internal processes and company policies.
  • Draft correspondence and reports, ensuring flawless communication.
  • Manage the logging in and out of post efficiently.
  • Assist consultants and account managers with necessary documentation to successfully implement their responsibilities.
  • Ensure client work is processed in a timely manner, meeting all target dates.
  • Prioritize tasks to maintain outstanding service level agreements.
  • Assist team members as needed and provide support to the Team Leader.
  • Handle non-standard client and member queries competently.
  • Take day-to-day responsibility for clients, under guidance.
  • Ensure your work is peer-reviewed as appropriate to maintain quality standards.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as agreed from time to time.
  • Complete timesheets punctually to ensure accurate time management.
  • Align with all Corporate Policies & Procedures (CPPs) to ensure consistency and reliability in service delivery.
  • Be aware of current regulatory and legal obligations of the function.
  • Report any suspected breaches to your line manager immediately upon discover

About You

  • At least 2 years of experience in defined benefit/defined contribution pension scheme administration.
  • Demonstrate a logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Process, collect, and input data and information as delegated.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively, keeping to deadlines and disclosure requirements.
  • Answer queries via telephone, letter, and email with clarity and integrity.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to develop a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, contributing to a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Proficiency in Information Technology, including Microsoft Office for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of and adherence to various professional ethics and standards, such as those set forth by the PMI or through equivalent experience.
  • Exhibit strong time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities.
  • Ideal candidates will have a background in PMI or equivalent experience.
