Project Manager - Re-Cladding Projects

Our client, a highly reputable contractor specializing in re-cladding projects, is seeking an experienced project manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to take ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget while maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.

For this role, you must have experience working as a project manager within a principal contractor setting, specifically delivering re-cladding/re-mediation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

* Develop and manage project plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

* Oversee all project phases, from initial planning through execution to final handover.

* Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and delays.

Stakeholder & Client Management

* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and strong relationships.

* Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.

* Conduct regular progress meetings and provide project updates to key stakeholders.

Design & Technical Coordination

* Collaborate with design teams to ensure project requirements are met.

* Address technical challenges and implement solutions proactively.

Procurement & Cost Control

* Oversee procurement processes to ensure materials and resources are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.

* Manage budgets, track costs, and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

* Prepare and submit payment applications and variations as required.

Health, Safety & Compliance

* Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations across all project sites.

* Develop and implement risk assessment method statements (RAMS).

* Promote a culture of safety and enforce best practices among project teams.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

* Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams, including site managers and supervisors.

* Allocate resources effectively and manage team performance to achieve project goals.

* Foster a collaborative work environment, driving excellence and accountability.

Candidate Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

* Project management experience: Proven track record in delivering re-cladding or re-mediation projects within a principal contractor environment.

* Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of cladding systems, materials, and installation methods.

* Leadership skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively.

* Project management tools: Proficiency in using project management software such as M Projects.

* Health & safety expertise: In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.

* Communication & client management: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build long-term client relationships.

* Relevant qualifications: Degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
