Job Description

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to and from various locations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. Your role is crucial in maintaining our reputation for reliability and excellence in service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations as well as company policies.

* Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.

* Maintain accurate and detailed records of all deliveries and pickups.

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes, delivery schedules, and any potential issues.

* Handle goods carefully, ensuring they are secured properly for transport to prevent damage.

* Be flexible to work weekends and additional hours as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Valid HGV Class 1 license with a valid driver card.

* Strong driving record with no major violations or accidents.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

* Physically fit, with the ability to handle heavy loads safely.

* A flexible approach to work, with a willingness to adapt to changing schedules.

PPE Required

* Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as per company guidelines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.69-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
