Role Overview

The Head of Property Management will lead and oversee the property management department, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and client-focused experience for landlords and tenants. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong understanding of the London property market, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management:Lead and manage a team of property managers, fostering a supportive, growth-oriented environment aligned with David Astburys’ commitment to community and client focus. Provide mentoring, set objectives, and manage performance to ensure the delivery of top-notch service across all team members.
  • Strategic Development:Develop and implement property management strategies that align with company goals. Continuously improve internal processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Client Relationship Management:Serve as a primary point of contact for high-profile clients and key stakeholders. Manage escalated issues and complex cases, ensuring all clients feel valued and supported. Uphold the agency's reputation for building lasting client relationships.
  • Property Portfolio Oversight:Oversee the portfolio of managed properties, ensuring compliance with legal standards, effective handling of tenancy issues, and efficient maintenance operations. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors, ensuring cost-effective service delivery that aligns with client expectations.
  • Financial Management:Monitor and manage the budget for the property management division. Provide financial reporting, set rent collection targets, and ensure accuracy in invoicing and expense management.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with UK property laws, as well as health and safety regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes affecting the property sector and implement necessary updates within the team.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in property management with a background in team leadership or a senior management role within the real estate sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the London property market, local regulations, and property management best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a client-focused mindset; able to manage complex cases with a commitment to quality service and community values.
