Managing Quantity Surveyor
Location: North West London - Hybrid
Salary: £60,000 - £69,000 + Car or Car Allowance
Role Overview:
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in overseeing the commercial and financial aspects of the project. You will ensure accurate forecasting, effective cost management, and compliance with NEC contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reporting.
- Provide accurate project cost forecasts and final value estimations.
- Present commercial updates to senior management.
- Monitor budgets, cash flow, and valuation plans.
- Ensure effective communication between stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Advise on contract forms and procurement strategies.
- Manage commercial risks, opportunities, and disallowed costs.
- Apply dispute resolution strategies, including SCL Protocol knowledge.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience: Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor on large infrastructure projects.
- Contract Knowledge: Strong experience with NEC Contracts.
- Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (BSc/MSc) or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: Valid CSCS Card.
- Preferred: Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
- Eligibility: Must have the right to live and work permanently in the UK.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports To: Senior Management/Commercial Director.
- Team Structure: Work collaboratively within the commercial team.
- Direct Reports: Lead and mentor junior surveyors.
