Job Title: Teaching Assistant (secondary schools)

Location: Barking & Dagenham

Salary: £85-£95 per day

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in Barking & Dagenham. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in secondary schools and have a genuine passion for education.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supporting teachers with classroom activities and delivering one-to-one or small group interventions.

* Assisting with lesson planning and preparing teaching resources.

* Providing pastoral care and emotional support to students.

* Supporting students with special educational needs.

* Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.

* Assisting with the assessment and monitoring of student progress.

Key Requirements:

* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or a T Level in Education and Childcare).

* GCSEs grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) in English and Maths or equivalent.

* A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field is also a plus.

* Experience of working in secondary schools is desirable.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use own initiative.

* Knowledge of the national curriculum is desirable and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
