Are you a creative and passionate Art and Design Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity? A leading secondary academy in Southampton is seeking an enthusiastic Art and Design Teacher to join their team starting in September 2024. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Art and Design Teacher to inspire students across KS3 and KS4 at a well-regarded secondary academy in Southampton. This role is set to start in September 2024 on a long-term contract. The successful candidate will join a supportive and creative department, where they will be responsible for delivering high-quality Art and Design lessons that engage and motivate students. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Art and Design lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
Inspire students to develop their artistic skills and creativity.
Provide constructive feedback and assess student progress to support their academic and personal growth.
Create a classroom environment that encourages exploration and innovation in Art and Design.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Art and Design curriculum and participate in departmental initiatives.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Art and Design or a related field.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Art and Design.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
