Estimator
This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit team at our office based in Billericay, Essex. Working within the specialised High End fit out and construction market, with projects ranging from high end residential, retail and commercial, to exhibitions, events and stadiums. The right candidate can expect to progress in their career with support and training as the company continues to grow.
The successful candidate will become an integral support within the business. Based in the office 5 days a week.
Estimator - The ideal candidate would be required to:
* 2+ years previous experience within the fit-out and construction industry.
* Ability to read drawings and undertake scaled take offs.
* Ability to attend site visits to undertake surveys prior to providing quotes.
* Eager to learn with a driven attitude.
* Ability to work solely or part of a team.
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Be confident using Microsoft packages, such as Excel and Outlook and word.
* Experience with estimating software.
* Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.
Estimator - Duties to include:
Initially
* Review tender documentation and carry out necessary take offs.
* Gathering quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers within specific time frame.
* Be able to highlight opportunity and risks within a tender.
* Follow up quotations and enquiries by telephone and email.
* Review tender enquiries, with estimating team support.
Estimator - Role Progression
* Learn commercial and technical analytical skills.
* Learn commercial and tender strategy.
* Be exposed to niche and prestigious projects along with a variety of constructions methods and high-end finishes.
* Receive training, gain experience and fluidity on Construction based software for drawing take offs and tender reviews.
