Job OverviewWe are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Cardiology/Respiratory Services team at Wythenshawe Hospital. This role provides essential cover for long-term sickness and maternity leave, offering an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine patients' needs and develop personalized care plans.
• Facilitate safe and effective discharges, including equipment provision and post-discharge support.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide expertise in cardiology and respiratory rehabilitation, promoting recovery and optimizing physical function.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and service improvements.

Requirements

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• NHS experience, with a solid understanding of assessment and discharge processes.
• Good knowledge of equipment provision and collaborative team working.
• Experience in cardiology/respiratory services is desirable but not essential.
• A car driver is preferred but not mandatory.
