Materials Tester Required!

Our client is a manufacturer and supplier of high-performance materials to a multitude of sectors including Automotive, Medical and more.

Package:

• Salary £25,000 - £28,000 (DOE)
• Company pension Scheme

• 26 days holiday + bank
• Early finish on Fridays

Materials Tester - Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical and heat treatment tests on wire products
• Analyse test data, record results, and highlight discrepancies.
• Produce final inspection certificates.
• Manage sub-contract testing when needed.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure a safe workspace.
• Support troubleshooting and resolving quality issues.
• Assist with quality control of incoming goods, including certificate checks and rejecting non-conforming items.
• Help calibrate measuring equipment like micrometers.

Materials Tester - Requirements:

• Experience in mechanical testing.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with international standards (e.g. ASTM, AMS).
• Experience with microscopy is a plus.
• Relevant qualification (Apprentice trained, NVQ, HNC/HND)
