My client, a global sportswear and accessories supplier, is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and fast-paced team. 

With a salary of up to £32,000 per annum for this office-based role, they are looking for someone who is Level 4 AAT or currently studying CIMA/ACCA. 

Your roles will include:

• Processing purchase ledger invoices and ensuring they match purchase orders
• Bank account reconciliations for multiple currencies
• Uploading invoices and credit notes
• Assisting with month-end processing and reconciliations
• Assisting the credit controllers where necessary
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Preparing audit schedules and answering queries
• Providing ad hoc reports and analysis

Desired attributes:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Level 4 AAT or studying CIMA/ACCA.
• Excellent Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables.
• Experience working with Sage 200 (or similar) and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with a range of people.
