Salary: £13.50 - 14.50 per hour

Located: Barnsley

Hours: - 12 hour shifts 7am - 7pm (4 on 4 off Rota)

Our client is looking for an experienced Goods-Out Supervisor to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage the outbound logistics operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

The role:

You will supervise the daily activities of the goods Out department, overseeing the picking, packing and shipping of orders. Utilizing your impressive communication skills, you will collaborate with other departments to ensure client expectations are met. You will also;

* Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.

* Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in inventory management processes.

* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track departmental goals.

* Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to outgoing orders or inventory levels.

* Implement and enforce best practices to improve efficiency and minimize errors.

The successful candidate:

You will be a flexible and dedicated team player with an unrivalled ability to communicate at levels, with:

* Valid Forklift truck Licence (Reach, Counterbalance and VNA desirable)

* Proven experience (1 year) in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.

* Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.

* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.

* Attention to detail and a commitment to quality control.

* Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
