Job Title: Finance Assistant (Dutch Speaking)
Based: Office / Hybrid role - Ramsbottom, Bury.

We are looking for a Dutch speaking Finance Assistant to join a multinational team, focusing on the company based in the Netherlands. This Dutch / English speaking Accounts Assistant role is all about making sure reconciliations and financial reporting is spot-on and to comply with accounting standards. In this role, you will be able to work on a hybrid basis and the company offers a great benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations
- Bookkeeping: Entering all financial transactions on to the ledger with accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciling the bank and other balance sheet control accounts.
- Invoicing: Prepare, issue and match invoices, ensuring reconciliation with the sales and purchase ledger systems and timely delivery to clients.
- Accounts Payable: Verify the accuracy of purchase invoices and statements, ensuring payments are processed on time and posted correctly in the payables ledger.
- Expenses Management: Facilitator and control of employee expenses into the accounting system accurately.
Intercompany Transactions
- Cross functional collaboration with finance/business colleagues in Holland, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of intercompany transactions, resolving queries, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining compliance with internal standards.
Month-End and Ad Hoc Projects
- Assist with month-end accounts processes.
- Support additional projects and tasks as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of finance operations.

Skills and Experience
Essential
- Must Have: Knowledge of XERO, Sage or similar software and Dutch language skills
- Intercompany Transactions: Comfortable processing and reconciling intercompany transactions.
- Communication: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal teams and external teams.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic environment where priorities and tasks can shift frequently.
- Attention to Detail: Able to work accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Team-Oriented Approach: Willingness to support colleagues and foster a collaborative environment.
Desirable
- Education: Degree in Accounting/Finance or demonstrable finance experience. AAT / CIMA / ACCA / CGMA.
- Multi-Currency Transactions: Proven experience handling and accurately postingmulti-currency transactions.
- Experience: Good understanding of receivables and sales ledgers and multi-currency transactions and reconcilliations
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, attention to detail, team player, familiar with financial systems, good communication skills.
