O'Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor for our Client, a well-known international company with various ongoing projects across Ireland and Europe.

This is a North Dublin based role.

Project Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Producing programme vs cost cash flow projections in conjunction with all teams.
  • Reviewing progress, programme and tracking cost implications.
  • Complying with and Implementing the Quality plan strategy.
  • Preparing and updating Cost Value Reconciliations
  • Preparing Contracts and assisting the Commercial Manager in agreeing terms
  • Liaising with Senior Project Managers in creating a one team culture and approach to delivering the project to the Time, Cost, Quality and Corporate Responsibility targets and deliverables, always acting in the best interests of the Company.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the company relationships and ensuring the Company is recognised as a high performing team.
  • Provide accurate and timely data to the Commercial Lead to enable them to report to the Project Director and Commercial Director.
  • Maintaining good relationships with the Client, Design team, Sub-Contractors, and other stakeholders

Project Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Third level qualification in a construction related discipline.
  • 5-8 years' experience in a Project Quantity Surveying role in a Construction/Engineering business, ideally with a Main Contractor
  • Experience in delivering projects (value ≥€30M) from pre-construction/ tender/ design stage to completion and Final Accounts
  • Experience working with Joint Ventures would be an advantage.
  • Experience using Public Works Contracts would be an advantage.
  • Build soft and Cubit experience an advantage.
  • High Level of Contract Administration and legal awareness and competence in assessing Contract requirements
  • Knowledge and awareness of contractual and commercial management
  • Experience in both Building and Civil projects would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in dispute resolution would be an advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and problem-solving skills with Microsoft Office advanced user skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
