Job Description: Project Manager - Recladding Projects

Location: Exeter (initially), with future projects in Plymouth

Role Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering recladding projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The initial assignment involves managing a care home recladding project in Exeter, with a view to progressing to lead a larger-scale scheme in Plymouth.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, and programme objectives are achieved.

Lead and manage site teams, including subcontractors and direct employees, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, reporting progress to senior management.

Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, codes, and health and safety standards.

Engage and communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and the wider community, ensuring minimal disruption to occupied buildings.

Drive innovation and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.

Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to avoid delays.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, ideally with a Tier 1 or well known contractor.

Demonstrable track record of delivering projects in occupied buildings, such as care homes, schools, or residential developments.

Strong knowledge of building regulations, fire safety standards, and cladding systems.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Proficient in project management software and tools.

Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent experience. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications are desirable.
