Pay Rate: £298.00 Per Day (PAYE) or £340.00 Per Day (Umbrella)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

Job Purpose:

To undertake and record quality assessments of all contracted works undertaken by partnering contractors through a post-inspection regime.
To provide technical reports and defect diagnosis for the group's property portfolio.
Provide technical reports and guidance for all regulatory compliance with the Landlord & Tenants Act including disrepair, planning, Building Regulations etc.
To undertake Stock Conditions including HHSRS assessments and Fire Risk inspection surveys.Key Responsibilities:

To ensure that Ascham Homes maintenance and works contracts are effectively and professionally monitored and controlled from inception to final account.
To carry out the surveying and inspection function to determine necessary repair and improvement works, including works to void properties.
Ensure regular meetings with contractors and their supply chain partners and subcontractors are effective and actions recorded.
To liaise and advise service users, Council staff and outside agencies on any service carried out within the maintenance section.
To deal with enquiries generated within specific time scales including complaints and members' enquiries by current procedures, and to monitor and ensure such targets are met.
Provide inspection a minimum of 10% of all works undertaken by partnering contractors through a rigorous and robust post-inspection regime Job Purpose Key Accountabilities:
Provide Technical reports and accurate defect diagnosis to ensure all properties are fit for purpose and comply with all regulatory and statutory requirements of a landlord.
Undertake stock condition surveys to support the overall asset management plan providing assessment of component life expectancy and condition for all Ascham Homes property portfolio.
Undertake Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) assessments.
To scope works undertaken by qualified Fire Risk Assessors, arrange for necessary works, post post-inspect works and advise the Data Manager to update the programme.
To be responsible for ensuring that all activities associated with the maintenance of the stock are effectively monitored and comply with conditions of the contract and statutory requirements.
To project manager uncomplicated planned worked projects on siteQualifications and Experience:

HND/C Building with demonstrable post-qualification experience of BSc Building and 2 years post-qualification experience:
Proven experience in Demonstrable Building surveying experience
Proven supervisory experience
Degree in Building Surveying, Architecture, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Building Surveyor with a strong understanding of construction and building maintenance.
Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using surveying tools and software.
