Junior Firmware Engineer – Gloucestershire - £30,000 - £40,000 paA leading electronics manufacturer are looking for a Junior Firmware Engineer to join their R&D team to develop leading security and defence technology.Responsibilities:

• Develop & implement real-time embedded firmware for ARM Microcontrollers & FPGA Systems
• Develop software for algorithm simulation and implementation
• Software test & verification
• FPGA SoC design & implementation
• Work in a multi-disciplined engineering team on hardware test & debugging

Key Skills/Experience:

• 2:1 Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline
• Strong knowledge of Embedded Software/Firmware development (C/C++)
• Experience/Knowledge of VHDL
• Strong understanding of signal processing/algorithms
• Microcontrollers & Peripherals

Any mix of the following is nice to have/non-essential:

• Software test & verification
• Xilinx FPGAs/Tool chains
• RTOS
• Embedded Linux
• Modelling languages (MATLAB)
