I am delighted to be partnered with a Magic Circle law firm in their search for an Accounts Payable Manager to join their London office. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager seeking to join an established global law firm.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Define, implement, and manage the purchase-to-pay process using embedded Elite 3E processes to drive improvements and efficiencies.
  • Lead and oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Finance, and operational teams to streamline workflows and enhance vendor relationships.
  • Manage and mentor the accounts payable team, offering leadership, training, and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the use of Emburse (formerly Chrome River), ensuring effective system management and optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain robust policies and controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations, both internal and external.
  • Monitor accounts payable performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.
  • Liaise with external auditors and support audit requirements related to Accounts Payable.

The right candidate will need:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage large volumes of transactions efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Proven experience leading an accounts payable or transactional finance team within professional services.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices in accounts payable management.
  • Experience in managing and developing a team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Strong knowledge of purchase-to-pay processes and invoice automation, with the ability to design and implement new procedures.
  • Experience with Chrome River or similar expense and invoice management systems.
  • Experience with Elite 3E beneficial.
