Overview: Working alongside our client, an established and forward-thinking injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join their team and support continued business growth.

Remit:

* This position will suit a skilled Injection Moulding Technician with strong mould processing, machinery, tooling and materials knowledge

* The successful candidate will be given training and development opportunities to advance their technical skillset within injection moulding

Role:

* In the role of Senior Mould Technician you will be responsible for the planning of tool changes in the Mould Shop and undertaking production tool changes

* As Senior Mould Technician you will work on new tooling projects for process optimization and an understanding of capability studies and results analysis

* The Senior Mould Technician will be responsible for leading teams of Production Operators and temporary staff in the Mould Shop

* Maintain accurate and disciplined Quality Assurance Documentation completion in line with production procedures of the Quality Management System

* Adjust machine settings, including temperature, pressure and cycle times to ensure optimal performance and product quality

* Monitoring equipment, troubleshooting and taking preventative measures to ensure machinery is kept in safe working order

* Carry out continuous improvement on cycle times and machine / equipment layouts

* Ensuring high standards of housekeeping are maintained

Experience Requirements:

* Industry recognized injection moulding qualifications

* Fully conversant with injection moulding processes, machinery and tooling

* Demonstrable experience of process optimization and troubleshooting

* Computer literate with good understanding of Microsoft Excel

* Good problem solving skills with ability to work off own initiative

* Strong communication skills

* Supervisory and leadership skills

* A team player with flexibility and 'can-do' attitude
