Electrical Technician

Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our well established cleint.

The Role:

* Report to the Team Leader Engineering on all matters regarding the maintenance and operation of all plant and equipment.

* Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance activities on all aspects of plant and equipment on site.

* Assist in developing maintenance practices and procedures to improve and maintain the plant and equipment.

* Pick up work, book out spares and keep records of work carried out via CMMS and update team on issues.

* Ensure all legalisation relating to all systems is met.

* Advise the team leader or section engineer of any spares used or required.

* Have involvement in creating RA SWP & JTD's.

* Complete point of work risk assessments.

* Ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard liaising with all members of the engineering department as required.

* Manage the permitting system for the department, ensuring all isolations/immobilisations are correct and implemented prior to authorising work.

* Reduce/eliminate all forms of waste from the department operations.

Requirements:

* A recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship (Preferably HNC but minimum ONC level or equivalent).

* Electrical experience of heavy manufacturing industry.

* Sound plant engineering knowledge and experience of industrial systems.

* Ability to fault find any issues to root cause and front line rectification.

* Experience of working under permit systems previously or knowledge of how permit systems operate.

Working 12 hour days & nights.

Salary: £44,943.31 Total Package (including shift allowance).
