Are you an experienced Qualified Accountant who has good knowledge of costings, analysis and process improvements?

A leading company based in Chelmsford are looking for a Cost Accountant to work alongside several department heads on various projects while operating across their global entities.

As a Cost Accountant you will be responsible for:

• Analysis of production costs and compare them with the standard costs to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and assist in pricing decisions to ensure profitability.
• Oversee the inventory valuation process, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of inventory costs.
• Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and obsolescence.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to estimate future manufacturing costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements within the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Continuously improve costing systems and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

As a Cost Accountant, what you will get in return:

• £55,000 - £60,000
