Our client, is a growing Mechanical and Electrical firm based in Bromsgrove, known for delivering exceptional construction projects across various sectors. They are dedicated to innovation, quality, and sustainability, and are looking to expand their team with a talented and experienced Commercial Manager.

Job Description: We are currently seeking an accomplished and proactive Commercial Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing the financial and contractual dimensions of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget, on time, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Contract Management: Draft, negotiate, and oversee contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

* Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and financial forecasting. Monitor project costs and expenditures.

* Risk Management: Identify financial and commercial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

* Project Planning: Work collaboratively with project managers and stakeholders to integrate commercial considerations into project plans.

* Client Relations: Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding commercial matters, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

* Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular financial reports and maintain accurate records of financial transactions and contractual documents.

* Team Management: Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, contract managers, and other commercial staff.

* Compliance and Legal: Ensure all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

* Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement.

* Bid and Tender Management: Oversee the preparation of bids and tenders, ensuring competitiveness and commercial viability.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in the construction industry.

* In-depth knowledge of contract law and construction contracts.

* Excellent financial management and budgeting skills.

* Strong negotiation and communication skills.

* Effective team management and leadership abilities.

* Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities.

* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office, project management tools).

* A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
