Position Available: Production Engineer

Location: Essex

Experience needed: The ideal candidate will bring a depth of experience in production engineering, specifically in developing manufacturing processes and optimising workflows in a project-based environment. This would ideally have been done in a complex engineering environment such as defence, aerospace or a form of manufacturing.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer or Engineering Technician to join our manufacturing team, focusing on high-precision silicon assembly and supporting production processes. The role involves developing and enhancing probe capabilities for CCD/CMOS wafer testing, collaborating with Production Engineers to optimise design for manufacture (DFM), and improving manufacturing procedures.

Key responsibilities include continuous improvement of production processes, generating SAP ME routings, managing operational workflows, and ensuring all documentation follows Configuration Control Board (CCB) protocols. The position also involves assisting with production trials and working within New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.

• Experience in a similar role in production or manufacturing within a complex environment
• Experience of developing manufacturing processes
• Experience of working in a project manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience within an electronics product manufacturing environment
