  • We are seeking a Health & Safety Technician to oversee and maintain health and safety protocols within our Mechanical & Electronics Workshops. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and compliance with health and safety legislation.

    Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections and risk assessments within the workshops to identify potential hazards.
  • Implement and manage health and safety policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
  • Provide health and safety training to workshop staff as required.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
  • Maintain records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
  • Ensure that all health and safety equipment is present and in working order.
  • Liaise with external health and safety authorities as necessary.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Health & Safety Technician or similar role within a workshop environment.
  • Knowledge of legislation (Health & Safety at Work Act) and procedures.
  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
  • Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
  • Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Diligent with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
