Atkins Search are currently working with an established construction main contractor to recruit a Junior Mechanical Project Manager to join their in-house Mechanical and Electrical team.

Graduates and junior level candidates looking to step into Project Management and Construction are encouraged to apply for this role.

Based in the Midlands and operating on a national basis, our client was founded over 10 years ago by a team of skilled and dedicated engineers, with expertise in the retail and commercial built environment, particularly in refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Over time, our client has evolved into a main contractor, retaining their specialist in-house capabilities while expanding their creativity and innovation throughout the entire supply chain.

Role

Deliver exceptional service and high-quality products that align with project objectives by working closely with the wider project team. By fostering collaboration, clear communication, and teamwork, you will ensure seamless execution at every stage—from planning to completion—tailored to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

* Project manage the installation of mechanical service installations on multiple projects with values ranging from £10k - £1m

* Manage multiple tenders and projects throughout various stages

* Support on the procurement of materials and labour, obtaining quotations and negotiations

* Organising and managing direct labour and subcontractors

* Identifying, documenting, and costing project variations

* Establishing and maintaining client relations

* Undertaking Risk & Method Statements

* Carry out site surveys and prepare reports

* Diagnose onsite issues and advise on work required

* Attend client meetings as required

* Co-ordination with all trades

* Ensuring all work meets with expected standards

* Client handovers and demonstrations

Person

* Basic knowledge of heating, air conditioning, pluming, and BMS systems (Beneficial)

* Positive attitude and willingness to learn

* Proactive mindset

* Strong communication skills

* Collaborative and team player

* Full UK Driver's License
