White Label are excited to be working with a specialist engineering manufacturer of mechanically engineered products in their search for a Technical Sales / Commercial Engineer to work within a highly regulated industry!
Our client supplies into a variety of highly regulated industries, including hydrogen, nuclear, offshore, energy and more.
The Role of the Technical Sales / Commercial Engineer:
* As the Technical Sales / Commercial Engineer, you will review technical documentation and specifications and produce a cost of quotes
* The team get around 25 enquiries a month - you will be responsible for qualifying the enquiry to ensure that they are able to manufacture what is being requested
* Produce specifications with the Product Engineers that supports their manufacturing capabilities, and ensure all the quality aspects etc are covered
* Generate the quotes and follow them up
* Commercial negotiation of terms and conditions and identify any risks within these (liabilities, delivery penalties, etc)
* Dealing with customers objections
* Once the order is in, ensure a full handover is successfully completed to the contracts team
* Visiting customers approx. 2-3 times a month. This role will also involve international travel once every 2 months
* Attending exhibitions, conferences and customer sites for commercial and technical negotiations, with both Engineers and Buyers, etc
The Person:
* Must have strong background in a mechanical engineering field and have progressed into a commercial role
* Hold either mechanical qualifications or be Apprentice Trained
* Technically minded with a technical curiosity
* Be able to read technical drawings and P&ID's - highly desirable
* Must have worked with engineered products that have a lot of quality control and systems related
* Good knowledge and understanding of the whole sales process
* Have been in a sales / commercial role involving reviewing and negotiating Terms & Conditions, and must be able to highlight the risks in T's & C's
* Have excellent commercial and technical negotiation skills
* Must be extremely diligent as they are dealing with highly critical components
Package details:
* £40 - 50k
* Company wide bonus based on profit

* Working hours are 7.45am - 4.15pm Monday - Thursday and 12.45pm finish on Friday
