Our client is seeking a Plant Manager to manage the DWR operations team in the operation of the wastewater treatment plant for the production of reclaimed water meeting the required contractual standards.
Reclaimed water production volume management.
Reclaimed water production cost management.
Reclaimed water quality management
Health and safety management (SHE management).
Staff control and supervision.
Staff development.
Administration of and reporting on the plant operations function.
Communication of maintenance requirements with the Maintenance Supervisor.
Make operational and process changes to the wastewater treatment process.
Issue materials and services requisitions.
Issue maintenance requisitions to the maintenance section.
Plan, lead, organise and control all aspects of the functioning of the operations team.
Participate actively in meetings with the objective of improving the Company's effectiveness, service and profitability by maintaining the highest possible quality standards.
Maintain safety precautions, and sound housekeeping principles and due care of all equipment/assets under your control/care.
Manage the DWR wastewater treatment process so as to comply with the contractual water volume and quality standards.
Monitor and control the treatment processes for the minimisation of production costs.
Ensure regulatory compliance and keep abreast of relevant regulatory and policy developments.
Assist the Regional Manager with the interpretation of analytical results, investigation of non-conformances, initiation and monitoring of remedial action to ensure optimal process performance.
Issue, maintain and review site instructions to ensure the correct operation of plant and equipment so as to optimise the achievement of production volume, cost and quality targets.
Ensure the availability and serviceability of plant and equipment by effective communication with the maintenance section.
Ensure accurate process, maintenance, laboratory and operational record keeping on the plant.
Ensure all flow meters and instruments undergo documented calibration and verification.
Ongoing interpretation of laboratory and process data for optimal plant performance.
Ensure plant is maintained at such levels and frequencies such that it has high levels of availability.
Produce operational reports at frequencies determined by the Regional Manager.
Timeous reporting of wastewater quality and quantity deviations to the Regional Manager and the Authorities.
Perform any other duties required by your designated departmental manager.
Maintenance of the flow balance records on a daily basis including quality control.
Reporting of completed and accurate Flow data and billing meter readings to the Regional Manager at the end of each month.
Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting thereof as per contractual and company requirements and keep abreast of regulatory and policy developments.
Ensure all flow meters and relevant instruments are calibrated annually.
