About the role

To provide extensive specialist subject matter expertise in the assessment of nuclear, explosive and other major hazards associated with actual, planned and/or decommissioned facilities, plant, equipment or product. Advises on strategies for the development of safety assessments (safety case/safety basis/risk assessments). Develops and delivers complex safety analyses, assessments and associated documentation.

Top Essential evaluation criteria

1. Experience of undertaking nuclear hazard analysis (HAZAN):a. Design Basis Assessmentb. Unmitigated dose assessments to derive safety function classification.c. derivation of classification of the required safety systemsd. Understanding of types of protection methods and the substantiation of those required2. HAZARD Identification.3. Experience in Management of Safety cases.

An Active Clearance is required for this role.
